Kirtan Evening with Anna Leeming!
Friday, Jan. 31, at 7:30pm
Cost: By donation
Come and join us for an evening of Kirtan and Meditation!
Kirtan is part of the tradition of Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of devotion. It is a type of call-and-response singing that comes from India's ancient devotional practices.
As we chant, we open our heart, we let go, and we allow ourselves to be transported into a new state of being. Some people go into trances, some fall deep into meditation, others reach profound ecstatic states, while some simply close their eyes and absorb the energy of the music. For others, it is chance to dance the night away!
Kirtan is truly uplifting and transformational, and it is a wonderful way to connect with our deeper self. It is a group musical expression of the Divine within. Chanting ancient mantras and prayers, we allow ourselves to tune into our whole being.
Be sure to attend, it is an experience not to be missed!
Namaste.
