My Background & Focus as a Yoga Teacher
Daniele Hart (Suniti)
E-RYT-500, Yoga Therapist (920 hours)
I started my yogic journey in 2001 as a means to recover from a car accident. In my mid-thirties, I also had trouble with my knees and I could hardly bend forward to pick up my dog's ball. After a few months of doing yoga once a week, I was pleased to discover that many of my physical symptoms had greatly subsided or disappeared. During this process of healing my body with yoga, I also found greater emotional balance, as well as peace of mind. All of these benefits inspired me to become a yoga instructor. In 2010, I left my corporate job behind, and opened Heart Journey Yoga & Wellness.
My personal practice started with Kundalini Yoga, then Kriya Yoga, until I finally found my way to Yogi Amrit Desai and the Amrit Yoga Institute in Florida in 2008. I am certified at the 500-hour level as a Level 1 and 2 Amrit Yoga Instructor, and as a Professional Yoga Nidra Facilitator. I am also certified in Amrit Yoga Therapy - Body Psychology (120 hours), and as a Yoga Therapist (800 hours). Over the years, I have accumulated over 5000 hours of yoga teaching experience.
I believe that yoga saved my life, and it is what's kept me free of mental health and physical challenges for all of these years. For me, yoga is the ultimate spiritual pathway to one's true "Self". As an instructor, I enjoy using the timeless teachings of yoga as a platform for healing, achieving personal growth, and attaining higher spiritual wisdom. I gravitate towards the Hatha, Flow, and Therapeutic styles of yoga, along with the unique meditative and inward focus approach of Amrit Yoga. I also like to throw in some Yin, Kundalini, and other styles of yoga when the inspiration comes. My classes are generally unique and versatile, relaxing and balancing, insightful and sometimes thought provoking, and once in a while, I may surprise you with a few unexpected jokes. I believe without a doubt that yoga changes lives, and is the secret to living a balanced, happy, and healthy life. I look forward to sharing the gift of yoga with those who join my classes.
