Meditation is offered at Heart Journey through monthly Meditation Circles, specific yoga classes, beginner meditation series, as well as afternoon retreats.
Yoga and Meditation classes that include 15 min of meditation at the end of class; each class features at least one specific meditation technique:
- Tuesdays, Healing Hatha & Meditation, 9:30-10:45am
- Saturdays, Yoga & Meditation, 10:45-11:45am

Whether you're relatively new to meditation of have been doing it for years, this class is for those who want to go further in their meditation practice:
- Learn new techniques and various styles of meditation;
- Meditate with others and go deeper as you benefit from the group's energy;
- Ask questions and share your experiences.
There will be guided and unguided components during our time together, with an opportunity to deepen your practice through a longer meditation time than done in our regular weekly drop-in yoga classes.
Mindfulness Meditation Circle: Going Deeper, with Suniti
Wed. Jan. 17, 2018, 7:30-8:45pm, use your yoga package or $17 + hst per class.
Practice evidence-based mindfulness meditation techniques that will allow you to go deeper.
In line with the format often used at meditation retreats, practice cycles of seated mindfulness breathing meditation and walking meditation as guided by the sound of a singing bowl. As you go through repetitive cycles in this format, you will gradually access deeper levels of stillness, and disengage from the “monkey mind”.
Other benefits may include:
Reduction of stress/anxiety;
Better quality of sleep;
Increased capacity to concentrate for longer periods of time;
Reduced blood pressure
Improved memory, and so much more.

Every week, we will focus on a specific meditation technique or approach: theoretical concepts will be introduced and then practiced.
