Restorative Yoga for Recovery and for Beginners (5 weeks)
Arrive on your mat with the intent to heal your body naturally. The class will start with meditation in the stillness of a supported reclining pose that will allow your nervous system to release into a quiet space. You will find yourself slowing down as your body opens up through passive stretching. All poses will be supported with bolsters, blankets and blocks. The props create a gentle and mild stretch in your body and support you in holding poses longer with ease. The whole practice allows the body and mind to relax deeply.
This series is perfect for you if you have a stiff body or various health issues, are recovering from an injury, are new to yoga, or if you are in recovery. Mondays, Feb. 10 to Mar. 16, 2020, 12:00-1:15pm, no class on Feb. 17.
